Our Vision

We believe in one God - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that God is present in the world and is seeking to enrich our lives through knowing Jesus Christ, his Son.

We believe in the beauty and wonder and complexity of God’s creation - which we are all a part of- a creation that, although at times is broken, is being restored, renewed, redeemed.

We believe in the hope of a new life through faith in Jesus that includes everyone - especially you.

We believe. And this is the core of our church and family at St Nicholas. And we want you to be a part of this!

We want St Nicholas Parish Church to be a beacon of community within our parish and within the town of Prestwick. Although our part of Ayrshire may not have the same deprivation as other parts of the country there is still need. We are aware of suffering both economic and social. Of loneliness and isolation. Of stigma and prejudice. Of brokeness. Through our outreach we want to be a part of the healing within our community.

Our vision is that our church becomes your church. That it becomes your place of spiritual engagement and learning, your place of shelter and solace. Your place of family and community and love.

Our vision is that our church becomes a place where people can find answers when they have questions, strength when they feel weak, companionship when they feel alone and joy in the depths of despair. All held together in God’s love.

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.                    1 Peter 4:8-11
