Our Family
Whether it be through pastoral care to those in need in our parish, the provision of a safe place for Jolly Tots and local youth groups, donations made to local food banks and charities or our financial and spiritual support to our twinned Church in rural Malawi, we see service to others as a fundamental responsibility of our Christian outreach.
Throughout the year our church and church halls are host to a wide variety of activities out with our weekly worship services:
Easter sees our participation in ‘Easter Connections’ along with the other churches within Prestwick.
Our Service of Remembrance is held annually on Remembrance Sunday supported by the local youth organisations.
Closer to Christmas we participate in Prestwick ‘Lighting Up Day’ supported by Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra
We host several music events such as the Rotary Christmas Concert and regular organ recitals on our Grade II listed organ.
Our Mission Committee run fun activity days for children and parents with craft, games and entertainment.
We provide a safe place for youth organisations such as Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, Guides and Scouts.
During the week our Jolly Tots provide ’ fun for children ages 0-3, hosted by parents and grandparents.
Our halls are also used for Taekwondo, Yoga and Dancing.
Our outreach also extends beyond the church walls with a visitation group dedicated to supporting hospitals and local care homes, a carpool providing transport to and from the church, distribution of flowers, gifts and recordings of the service to those housebound, and our ongoing support and fund raising for our sister church in Malawi. Our congregation regularly donates to local food banks and our Sunday Skool hold events to raise funds for local children’s charities. Our Sunday Services are recorded and now streamed globally!
As a church we continue to seek innovative ways to extend our love to those who are out with the church and its Christian message.
Jolly Tots for children 0-3 yrs meet in the New Hall every Tuesday 9:30 to 11:00.
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts meet Fridays. Brownies + Guides, Wednesday. Rainbows Thursday.
Fun Times are a time of games and craft held 4 times a year, Saturday afternoon.
